CITIZEN OF THE MONTH PROGRAM

Each month, we shine a spotlight on an outstanding citizen who exemplifies exceptional character. Whether it's acts of kindness, community involvement, or a commitment to making a difference, our Citizen of the Month embodies the spirit of our community.


Monthly Character Traits: Throughout the year, we focus on specific character traits that define the fabric of our community. From resilience to compassion, these traits serve as guiding principles for personal growth and community cohesion. 2025-2026 Character Traits can be found at the bottom of this page or by clicking here.


Join us in celebrating the beauty of character within Orangeburg County. Together, we create a community where every action, no matter how small, contributes to the greater tapestry of positivity and connection.

NOMINATE A CITIZEN FOR AUGUST

August Trait: Courage

The Orangeburg County Community of Character is excited to announce this month's trait, Courage—the strength to do what is right, even when it isn’t easy. It means facing challenges with confidence, standing up for others, and choosing integrity over comfort. 


Help us celebrate the individuals whose bravery and determination inspire those around them to lead with conviction and compassion. All ages are eligible.
